"Transported" A rich and descriptive scene of a fantasy world where it’s not uncommon to be an Elf, a Dwarf or a Gnome, these would be heroes of which you immediately begin to root for. Tobon is a dark solemn character who takes you to his world and brings you along with him after finding a young woman. Along the way you meet strange Gnomes, Dwarves and Elves. Who doesn’t like to hear more about Elves? Trulove’s Elves evoke magic, mystery and a sense of possible immortality against a short human lifespan. Gnomes are rather different in this story and it’s interesting enough alone to read about them and their own chosen hero. There are a few twists in this story I didn’t see coming. And the best part is when you feel like you’re the king of the Elves and waging a grand battle against the onslaught of darkness. He takes you in and doesn’t let you go until you’ve heard the whole story, see it to the last page and find out how it all ends.
"Shadow on the Land / Rex Trulove" Trulove creates an exciting fantasy tale bringing the magical world together. Elves, Gnomes, were cats, Oracles and Shaman join forces against The Old Ones, pulling the reader in and keeping him/her wrapped in a web of mystery, magic and love. The action is continuous. The characters interesting and clearly defined. Shadow on the Land deserves a place at the top of every fiction and fantasy lover's list of "must read" books.
