Tezmitsu is an extensive novel featuring a young Daedalian girl, the daughter of a wealthy family. We the reader's are dragged into her world as she grows up and explores her friendships and her sexuality. However, a life shattering event sling shots Tezmitsu's world off kilter. She travels away from her home and begins another stage of life. Over the course of the next few years her life becomes darker as Tezmitsu falls and slowly picks herself up again. This book reminded me quiet a lot of eighteen hundred's novels such as "Tess of the d'Urbervilles" or "Moll Flanders" and something else but I can't find the title for it. I guess the story it's self just made me think of women's coming of age novels, only with a variety of sex scenes. Tezmitsu is an open minded woman who enjoys sex, with a variety of people female or male. However, her characters was definitely written by a male author and as far as I know mostly intended for a male audience. I would have enjoyed... More > a few more moments between Tezmitsu and her friends that were about comfort and friendship than sex; however, that is neither here nor there. On the whole, the young Tezmitsu is a loveable character who grows into a strong young woman who makes her own way in the world. My biggest complaint is that I felt that the end of the book could have used a bit more length to it. Still, I enjoyed the characters and the physical differences were fun and the imagination of the world is impressive.< Less
