Was Christ Married?

ByRichard Pittack

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
There is a belief circulated by some Christians that, Jesus of Nazareth was, in fact, married. That is, Jesus enjoyed the privilege of legally uniting His life with that of an earthly wife. This book contains various reasons why the above supposition cannot be substantiated. The very idea that the Savior of the world would have His mission disordered by the responsibilities of a marriage union is unthinkable. It is difficult to imagine the Redeemer, with so many heavenly obligations, being tied down in any way to a marital environment. It is unlikely that the Man of Sorrows, once He began His Three Year Mission and who had no home, could have been devotee to a family, which He personally began or to have the comforts of family living that involves the joys of holding His own children. How can it be maintained that the Son of God, who came to this earth to do the works of His Father, which were in the context of the Plan of Salvation, could truly have had time to be a home-loving and wife-devoted husband?
