It is a exellent book I really enjoyed reading it. It was really exciting, the suspense, and creativity kept me coming back for more. I hope he continues to write more books because I can't wait to read the next one.
"The Ultimate Alternative" In The Ultimate Alternative, author Richard Watkins takes us through several of the ups and downs we have all encountered at one time or another involving that thing called lust or love or whateva you want to call it. I thought Richard's book mainly chronicled a short span of time in the life of a young man whose ultimate decision(s) came with an ultimate price. His is a story mixed with urban folklore, "courting" and scandal that will take the reader from "back in the day" to the realities of present. While there are several other main characters that deserve equal props, I choose to focus my attention on this young man. Author Richard Watkins covertly presents this character as having such "coolness" but he also exposes the fragility that often is not seen with this persona. Infused within the story line are many opportunities for the reader to "self-reflect" and pose their own hypothetical take on the... More > various situations that present themselves. In fact I am sure that many a reader will shake his or her head thinking, "dang, that was me". Be prepared, at least in the initial chapters to be given very comprehensive and detailed explanation of the settings and characters. If you skim through this information it will be a great disservice to your reading enjoyment of the later chapters. Take your time, soak it in and enjoy the read. You will be pleasantly surprised. I am still trying to figure out how one can combine the sometimes graphic characters and contents of the book and still bring it home to a spiritual spin? But he did..... "the Ultimate Alternative when one chooses lust over love" I really enjoyed reading the book it was very interesting and exciting. I couldn't put the book down because I wanted to see what was going to happen next.
"The Ultimate Alternative When One Chooses Lust Over love" A true tour de force! I cant remember being so extremely entertained by a book. Mr Watkins makes us look deep into our souls. His skillful writing style makes you wish this book had more pages to read.You cant help but feel the energy the author put forth in this,his first literary project. Mr. Watkins can now add another chapter to his already impressive resume',that of a world class author. I sincerely hope that Mr. Watkins has another book in the works.
