From my many travels to India, I created an album that for me best represents India. When I am in India I have a natural aversion to acting like a tourist and the last thing I want to do is look like a photographer. However, on my last trip to India in November 2009 I realized that the best way to bring India back home with me was to take photos to show to friends and family. Over the years I have visited Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore and numerous smaller cities. This past trip I fell in love with Varanasi as it is like a group of small cities within a larger city. My all time favorite place in the world is Nepal, which is obviously not part of India but contains the Himalayas. One day I hope to see the Indian part of the Himalayas as well. I am against taking photos of poverty which obviously exists in India as most places, but there are so many amazing things about India that truly show her greatness.
