"BIG TOP SAWDUST & GREASEPAINT" Rob Harrell has the best sense of humor of any daily cartoon strip I have ever read! I say this in totally honesty because all of my other "favorite" strips eventually suffered a downturn in their creativeness & originality. Not BIG TOP! for 5 years Rob has amused me and my wife, made us laugh & made us cry (the 9/11 Tribute) and the strips presented in this long awaited second collection are sure to do the same for any reader. I wholeheartedly reccommend SAWDUST & GREASEPAINT to any one that enjoys a good laugh, whether it is an "educated" monkey (Manfred), the snotty poodle (Dusty) or my favorite the creepy Stucco the Clown, there is something for everyone in this strip. And, if you like this one, there is another book out there, BIG TOP, which is every bit as funny as SAWDUST & GREASEPAINT which is also a hoot!
"More! I want more!" As soon as dailycartoonist.com reported that lulu.com was publishing another Big Top collection, I bought it. I was distraught when Rob Harrell decided to throw in the towel earlier this year. Big Top was consistently funny, a rarity on the comics page. I recommend this book, as well as the first one. The first one even had outtakes! I miss this toon every day.
