Besh Kala, the Light Bringer

On the planet Idris, an emperor and a high priest clash as the empire expands. Petr'an, an idealistic young graduate of the university, and his friends are caught in the middle of this, and of the emergence of a messianic figure who confounds all sides in the midst of war and social conflict, and may supply the answer to all their questions.
