Thomas Paine and the 'Brotherhood of Man':

Paine is now claimed by three major nations to be a founder or important personage. He is more important than that. His imprint or knowledge was extensive and his associations were even more so. He can be called the founder of modern internationalism or what some 'conspiracists' would call The New World Order. It is not new really though.
