Collected here for the first time are all of the known drawings by the creator of Conan the Cimmerian and a host of other characters, Robert E. Howard—comics, sketches, maps and doodles—many presented here for the first time. Not only are all of the maps of Hyboria and drawings from his letters to friends included, but also all of the sketches that he drew in his high school text book, which was recently discovered in Cross Plains, Texas.

This is a terrific book because it has Robert E. Howard's illustrations and also maps of Hyboria. Quote from Bill Cavalier on page iii "The book which you hold in your hands is unlike any other Robert E. Howard "book" you'll ever find. While most of the 3.8 million words he pounded out on his workhorse Underwood #5 are in the process of being made avalable to everyone, the contents of this book haven't been seen by a whole lot of people outside of Howard Fandom. These Collected Drawings of Robert E. Howard are indeed that: a compilation of all the know cartoons, doodles, maps and little bits of Ol' Two-Gun having fun with a pencil." UnQuote This is a must have book for all and on page ii is a large black and white picture of Robert and Patches his dog standing in front of his home where he and his mom and dad lived. Highly recommended!
