I thought it was a well done how to business book. The author lays it out very systematically--write a business plan, get the office together, hire some tutors, market the business, sales, accounting, etc. I definitely believe the average joe could start and grow a 6 figure in-home tutoring service or just tutor on the side for extra cash from reading this book. I think I'll give it a try :).

I thought the book was very helpful. I've been looking for a low overhead, high profit potential business to start for a while, and I think start an in-home tutoring business is a good option. The sample business plan, and marketing and sales chapters are good; the accounting chapter is a little long winded. Well done all-in-all.

It's pretty helpful. I'm looking to tutor on the side for extra money ($500-$1,000 a month), and this how to book has definitely taught me what I need to do to market myself to do that. I would recommend it especially for grad. students trying to pay off some large student loans as well as teachers needing an additional source of money.

It's a pretty good business book. The chapters on business plans, finding tutors, and marketing are particularly helpful. I recommend it.

This book will walk you threw how to start and grow an in-home tutoring business whether you want to make $50 an hr, a sizeable part time income, or start your own business. It's methodical and practical.
