Lulu Edition - Many people have adventures from the past, coming-of-age experiences, narrow escapes, hair-brained adventures with their friends, things that happened when in school or at a specific job, weird family members or friends, strange and unbelievable occurrences, heart rending and passionate love stories. In short, things, which they know, will make a great book or even a best seller! They finally set everything up, so they have the method, the opportunity and the motive and then nothing! They stare at the white sheet of paper or a computer monitor and their heart races, their palms get sweaty and their mouths dry. They feel like a fraud. Things like “Was I just kidding myself? I’m no writer! What was I thinking?” Streak through their heads and then anxiety sets in, and even fear. Then it becomes a delaying action. It isn’t very much fun facing that blank screen. It is similar to a firing squad except that the target is much more up-close and... More > personal, it’s your self-esteem and pride.< Less

"Writer's Block Vaporized, Creativity Maximized!" This book shows you how obliterate writer’s block and prevent it from ever coming back! It shows you how to increase your writing output in both quality and quantity. It provides you with tools to “troubleshoot” the reasons for your writer’s block and then address them! There is a chapter on how to become a writer in seventeen days and others how to increase your creativity. I found it exciting and very useful. It helped me go back to a novel, that I had started a couple of years ago, and use these tools to troubleshoot it. I now understand why I put off working on it for so long. This book helped me understand the why and the how to fix my old manuscript. I reviewed it and used the tools to understand where I lost the excitement. I then started to fix it and I can’t wait to finish it! I am now in the process of completing this work faster than I ever thought possible. This book provides you with lessons, exercises, and... More > analytical tools to accelerate your writing and create a reliable writing process with enhanced creativity. I reviewed a preliminary copy, but the final version can only be better! "Writer's Block Vaporized, Creativity Maximized!" I started the outline of this book just before I left for my annual, two-week, writing retreat in Maui. At last year’s retreat, I finished my first novel, “The Misfits of Channel 10.” Although I found that to be a significant achievement at the time, this year I was not satisfied with this amount of productivity. I was convinced that I could boost my creativity to a higher level and stay in the creative state for longer periods. I wanted to be much more prolific. My plan was to complete this book as much as possible before I left for Maui and then use and refine these techniques in writing “Retreads,” the first of my books to written in this year’s retreat. Work became too busy and I had barely started this book before I had to leave on my retreat. When I was writing “Retreads,” I took note of all the techniques I had unconsciously used to maximize and train my creativity. Formerly, I performed these actions automatically as... More > my subconscious had learned what worked and what didn’t by trial and error. I never sat down before and analyzed my writing process, during the writing of a book. There were several reasons for this. One was fear. Creative writing is steeped in mystique and incurring the wrath of the muse. I was afraid that if I tried to analyze what I did, I would lose my way and destroy my process. I believe that it has nothing to do with mystique, but instead the fragility of the creative process and the human psyche. My other fear was that it might bring back the internal critic and ruin the book I was writing at the time. I started my documentation method slowly and carefully and when I found that it did not disrupt my process, I began to accelerate my analysis until I reached full ability. I noted all the actions that helped me to boost the quality and quantity of my writing. I analyzed and documented these techniques in the outline for this book. When I finished “Retreads,” I then focused on this book, fleshed it out, and completed it. Then I started on the third book that I wrote during this retreat called “” I applied these techniques, revised, and refined them when necessary so I understood them better. It also would clarify them for another writer to follow. This year, in my allotted two weeks, I completed two and one half books instead of one! That is a 250% boost in productivity as well as a corresponding boost in creativity. I think more is possible but I am happy with my progress that I made this year. I believe that you can make similar gains in creativity and productivity if you follow my instructions and techniques as documented in this book. Please note, your mileage may vary depending on how hard you depress the gas pedal, how many times you hit the break and how often you stop for refueling!< Less
