Identity is defined as “the distinguishing character or personality of an individual; the relation established by psychological identification.” In short, a sense of self. As you provide your opinions and thoughts, as well as make decisions, your disposition, or your identity, unfolds. Through the blood of Jesus, if you have made peace with the Lord, then you are in Christ Jesus. Thus, your primary identity is not completely according to your gender, race or cultural background, but instead, that you are in Christ. As descendants of Abraham, you are heirs to God’s promises as well.
