This book is a survey of the complex history and politics surrounding access to Stonehenge as a sacred temple in the Wiltshire landscape. It argues that Druids and Pagans should have greater access to the monument than is currently the case. It tells something of the story of ownership of the land and monument in the past and describes something of the twists and turns in the saga of the way that different individual and interest groups have between them had a say in how the monument should be accessed and managed in the present day.
