From AVN Online Review:
The latest exhumation of how John Holmes’ runaway blow habit led to the grisly “Four-on-the-Floor” murders on Hollywood’s Wonderland Avenue.
The bulk of this tome is the real deal — the complete transcript of the February 1982 preliminary hearing for Holmes in the multiple murder case... and it’s a grim yet fascinating read ... Reading the testimony of this parade of parasites is like watching a series of car accidents in slow motion. You know it’s all going to end in crimson carnage, but you can’t avert your eyes.
This is a tale of both hubris and sheer stupidity, fueled by equal amounts of greed and narcotics, and peopled by scumbags, misfits, addicts, and caricatures of evil incarnate.
Rodger Jacobs wraps it all up with a biting look at the making of the documentary "Wadd", which is a descent into the inferno unto itself.
"Good Book......." While not an end all in the story of the infamous "Wonderland" killings that happened in July,1981,this book does give additional information about this event through the testimony givin by some of the surviving main players at the preliminary hearing for John Holmes who was charged in this crime.
"This book is a MUST READ for Holmes/Wonderland Buffs" I ordered this book based on having read Rodger Jacobs' other fine articles, and I was impressed this time as always. "Long Money" is a must-read for the Holmes or Wonderland aficonado.!
"Great stuff - wonderful read!" Rodger does a wonderful job of bringing the case to life - I couldn't put it down! Anyone with an interest in the Wonderland murders and what went on in the Hills that night should read this.
"A "Must" if you are interested in the Wonderland case" Anyone interested in the Wonderland murder case should purchase this book if for no other reason than to obtain the virtually-verbatim transcript of John Holmes' preliminary hearing in criminal court. Jacobs also provides interesting annotations to the transcript, as well as a "behind the scenes" discussion of the making of the documentary "Wadd." Recommended.
