Thank goodness there is a sequel to "The Battle for Ka'an"! I read "The Siege of Ka'an" immediately upon completing Book 1. The author does an excellent job of revisiting “The Battle for Ka'an” making the transition to Book 2 smooth and exciting; and then, the Battle becomes alive! This book brings the Battle with all its strategies of war and relationships to a strong, visceral, and heightened view. This talented author's palette creates a visual experience, allowing the reader a gateway to enter the space beyond words; an entrance to the scene and a feeling of “being there” drawn into the intimate lives of the characters (human and nonhuman) and the possible outcomes. Where is Book 3? I want it now!
