"For the Love of Christopher" Personal Book Review My Thoughts on Ron Faller's book written in memory of his precious son Christopher 'legobeaver' Faller By Laurasmom June 3, 2009 I received a package in the mail a few months ago and couldn't imagine what was in it. It looked pretty important and felt like it weighed a ton. I saw a familiar return address, and you would think that would have given me a clue. I quickly opened it, so anxious to know what was in there, and to my surprise it was a huge book with the sweet little face of our little angel Christopher the 'lego kid' Faller, Maria and Ron's darling little boy. I couldn't believe the weight of this book and I sat down with it to give it a quick once over. Much to my surprise, the moment I opened the first page I was absolutely mesmerized by it. I could not put it down, but I finally did after about two pages. I knew then that I had a special blessing in store for me. My plans were to read the book each night in bed... More > as is my habit, and I would continue reading it like an ongoing saga. I didn't really know at that time the impact this book would have on me and on my life. I would only like to first thank Ron for writing this book which has greatly blessed me. He is one of the most talented writers I've ever read. This book needs to be put out on the book shelves of major stores because I know for fact it will touch so many people just reading about the entire short life of this really special angel that came down to earth for awhile. Lucky Ron and Maria had the privilege of being the chosen parents. I fell in love with the child. Still, even now weeks later, I cannot get him off my mind. I know I was touched by an angel. Ron started the story from Christopher's birth and the ensuing days that followed when they discovered to their horror what a very sick little boy they had. This was to be his life all the remaining days that he spent on earth, but he proved that with enough perseverance and courage someone can still make the most of every single moment of living. That's what Christopher did. He taught me something. No, I take that back....He taught me not just something, but many things. I strongly encourage everyone to get a copy of this book. I thought it would take me months and months to read, but in actuality, I finished the book within about a month or so and that was just reading a few pages a night. The book is over three hundred pages. It was next to impossible to put down and if I didn't control myself, I would have read right into the wee hours of the morning. I didn't have to write this review but chose to because If I didn't I would be denying so many people a great blessing. That's what this book was. A blessing from an angel written by his daddy Inspired by heaven< Less
