HOXIE, A Genealogy and Family History

ByRon Flynn

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
In 1650, a young teenage boy arrived at the Town of Sandwich, Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts on a boat that had sailed from England. When he got off the boat, the Port Master asked his name. In a thick accent the boy said “Hawk-sie”. It was written down as “Hoxie”. That was the beginning of the HOXIE nmae, and from that boy everyone in the World with the Hoxie name, and all its derivative spellings, is descended. To this date, no one has found the exact origin of that boy or his name. There is a chapter on the suspected origins of the Hoxie name, and where the HOXIEs are living today. This book chronicles the genealogies of the various HOXIE families through the generations and their moves from Massachusetts to: Rhode Island, New York, and eventually to Iowa. The family histories include many maps and photos. The Table of Contents for this book can be found at www.ronflynn.com (link at upper right). 82 numbered pages.
