Thank you for taking a look into the windows of my soul. Recently, I moved from the beautiful state of Maine to the lovely lands of Los Angeles!! I have been journeying inwards and really practicing self-love and presence awareness. I feel that in this world, we need to follow gut instincts, and do what is best for ourselves in order to be better people all around. Then we have more to offer others, with a fulfilled spirit. Love & Light galore!
I feel as though my multi-cultural background gives me insight that crosses boundaries and borders of love. Being of African, American Indian, French, and Scottish descent, I have quite the eclectic outlook on life. Let’s share thoughts and ideas, right here, in poetry. These are my thoughts on love, life, and the world.
Peace, love, and happiness,

Rosalynn Ritchie has a rhythm and style to her work that is, all at once, absolutely unique, thought provoking, evocative, and organically beautiful. Her book, "Thoughts on Love, Life and the World," truly visits each of those title subjects, and so much more. Throughout the book, however, I found it always comes back to love. And this theme brings her words and images truly to life for the reader in powerful emotive fashion. Rosalynn's style is representative of a conversation, with pearls of wisdom placed carefully throughout. And yet, it never loses its rhythm or flow. I've always felt that words can be painted in such a way as to create a visual tapestry to tell the story to the reader. Rosalynn's work comes alive in this way, and I am completely blown away by her incredible command of the written visual. As a writer myself, I have the highest respect for this first work of hers. One would never know it's her introductory entry into the world of published poetry. In... More > short, I fell in love with this book and it's beautiful stories. And in some way, it has loved me back by speaking to my soul. It sits on my nightstand, still today, and I return to it often. I give this delightful collection my highest recommendation for any reader. You will love how you feel when you read and experience these poems firsthand. My personal favorite: The Wind.< Less
[As the author of the book, I am writing here because I noticed the preview doesn't show an actual poem. This poem was written after the Trayvon Martin verdict, and is also about being multi-cultural. Thanks for purchasing!)] BACK TO THE MIDDLE I am of three worlds, accepting all equally, and respectfully. I claim to be nothing, no one, nobody. Embracing my black doesn't mean erasing my white. Seeing no colors, no lines in the sands, of wrong and right. I am of three worlds, comprising one love. Coming back to the middle- with no below, and no above. My Libra scales tip one side to the other, but always in balance, finding peace like no other. Resting in a valley of Tranquility, I need not be loved by anybody. Looking around at mountains of faces and races, all making up one range of displacement. We have all been beaten and battered by anger, but cannot live in that hole, of malarkey and danger. So, if I could say anything ,outright, and without riddle, it is this- don't obsess with... More > either "side." Just come back to the middle. http://rosalynnritchie.blogspot.com/< Less
