At a girlfriend's wedding rehearsal in Sweden, English artist, Prue, is dangerously attracted to prospective bridegroom, Didrik Nilsson. He, in his turn, seems to dislike her on sight. At a Swedish 'summer house' during traditional midsummer celebrations Prue discovers the man is a musician. He writes a song for her.
So why, when the song is soaring up the charts does Prue leave for England in the middle of the night?

Kind of a disappointing story. I mean it had great ideas, i loved that the story line. Unfortunately it falls a bit short. It wasn't orchestrated properly in the way that you would hope a good story would flow together. This story IS you feel just rushed at the end and cut off at the end. And sometimes you feel like there is not enough interaction between the couple featured, and when there are interactions between them, its short blasting and fast. You don't really get to FEEL the story and understand it as well. But i loved the story line, just needs the "flow" and less of the details of the surrounding and more of the emotional side.
i kinda like the story, but i felt like the ending was sort of cut off.issues betweeb prue and sten where not resolved properly.they just ended happily.i can't believe that prue can easily forgive sten's hangups.the plot is okay.
"The Summerhouse by rosemary Hoggard" The Summerhouse is an intelligently written romantic novel.Characters are well rounded and believable, and the various locations in the book are brought to life by the authors vivid descriptions.A very enjoyable book I look forward to the next
