Dare to Dream is an interesting collection of fantasies, recollections, and what ifs. Each story is very different and the reader finds himself in some and is left wondering in others. In each one, the reader is grabbed by the imagination of the author and is mesmerized by the unexpected turn of events that keep the reader engaged and anxious to keep reading. My favorite story was the “Red Devil Food Cake”. I really connected with the main character as I wondered what decisions he would make and what I would do in a similar situation. Great afternoon read.

I like this book. While I normally stay away from short stories, I found these stories, poems, and essays to be entertaining and thought provoking. I think the author did a good job of tying the dreams together, and reading them all at once brings that fact to life for me. However, each story is complete on its own and I like that. I have my favorites and I recommend the 1999 series (which includes Olive and Sandy) and The Red Devil’s Food Cake. I am a fan, also, of the Instructions. You will find that you have your favorites also, but I think you will find that you enjoy the whole book. I don’t like this book…..I love it. You should start reading now.
