In the summer/fall of 2012 I went out & interviewed 30 early stage investors around the world - The bay area, NYC, DC, Seattle, UK, India, L.A., Boulder Austin, Boston & a few more. I wanted to see what motivated investors. What makes them tick? My goal was to discover patterns that would make the fundraising process easier for entrepreneurs seeking cash for their projects- helping them weed out cancerous money & attract the right investors to accelerate growth.
I asked 5 different questions (which are below). For each question patterns developed, and this book contains bite sized interview clippings for each pattern. It is 57 pages long.
1. How/Why did you get into investing?
2. Motivating factors for past investments?
3. Turnoffs or red flags in entrepreneurs & their ventures?
4. Exciting trends moving forward?
5. Best practice for connecting with an investor?
