Ten year old Alan and little sister Jo were bored at the prospect of spending a day with their Granny and Grandad during the school holidays. Granny was very jolly but spent all her time baking whilst Grandad sat silently watching TV. When Alan leads Jo beyond the back garden into an old disused coalmine looking for fun they find a hidden world and go on an adventure in a Wild West town. Just who is their real Grandad?

"Excellent" I bought this for my nephew and he loved it. It's a bit like a Narnia book but with pictures. It's an easy read for kids, plus it's got cowboys in it which is quite rare in a book these days (I think). Very cheap too which was a bonus!
