The Rising Destruction

I met an alien once, 18 years ago. They came to help the humans when our planet was dying. Tensions were high and, although there was peace all these years, there is talk of war again. But why would the aliens help us if their plan was to kill us all along? The year is 2058 on the planet Earth. I am not one of the humans, but an organism from outer space, an alien so to speak. We arrived in the year 2040, a year where the Earth was in utter turmoil. Offering our help to allow this species to survive, exchanging goods and technology, living in peace and harmony ever since.
