Mar 22, 2010A review of "Pretty Forever" This book is a conclusion of the earlier books, "Sitting Pretty" and "Sitting Pretty II". i adored the first two, especially the second one, so when i saw a sequel for sale, i was overjoyed! However, i'm only giving this book two stars. Here's why: First, i'll tell you what i did like. The outfits the author, "Lisa", chose for Judy (formerly Judd), were very lovely, tasteful, sexy and well chosen. Lisa obviously knows her fashion! That alone did make reading this book enjoyable. Secondly, this book focuses very much on Judy, and i've been looking forward to a sequel about Judy, because Judy was the character from the "Sitting Pretty" series that i most related to. i did appreciate that someone had written a new book about her. However ... Here's where my review shall become focused a bit on my personal tastes. At the end of "Sitting Pretty II", Judy's former best friend, and now boyfriend, Ted... More > Sherman, demands that Judy both stop resisting her feminization, and also that she become very submissive to him, allowing him to "wear the pants" in their relationship. Well, i loved that scene to pieces, and i could so envision myself in Judy's oh-so-fashionably sexy high heels as she whispered to Ted, in a tiny voice, "i'll do anything you say ... only please don't leave me." Please note the following: This new sequel pretends that the scene depicted above never took place. In this sequel, Judy goes on a journey of sexual discovery, and these scenes are well described, but what i was truly hoping for in a sequel was a relationship in which Ted "wears the pants" and Judy happily entices him with hot dresses and skirts, sexy, elegant updos, and wonderful sex (where Ted is in charge, of course!). Well, we get the great outfits, but the sex is more about Judy being more "in charge", and Ted being a bit more passive. If the above is your cup of tea, then you'll love this book. i was hoping for someone much more faithful to who Judy was at the end of "Sitting Pretty II". My "happily ever after" would be Judy in to-die-for outfits, five inch stiletto heels, with she and Ted falling ever more deeply in love, until finally ... There would be Judy, standing by Ted's side in a church filled with flowers, wearing a gorgeous, sinfully low-cut wedding gown, amazing updo, bridal veil, and five-inch stiletto bridal sandals even as she hears the minister say, "Do you, Judy, take this man, Ted Sherman, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love, honor and obey until death do you part?" Then Judy's heart would flood with warmth, passion, love and happiness as she softly spoke aloud the words, "i do." That's my happy ending, and based upon how the second book ended, i thought we'd get something like that. The author, Lisa, decided to do something different. So, i hope this helps. If you are a huge fan of these books, like i am, i hope the above review will help you decide, before you buy this ebook, whether or not you want to read it.< Less
