Red’s guns appeared in his hands without seeming to have moved and twin bullets hammered into Ludlow before he could even pull the pistol from his holster. Hitching up on his toes, the man took two steps forward before pitching forward on his face and lying still. Coolly Red fed shells into the empty chambers and flipped the cylinder closed. Dropping the guns back into their holsters he turned on his heel and walked away without a backward glance.
Red Rivers lived by the gun and he was faster than a flash of lightning, but he wanted to live in peace. Could he ever find a life away from killing and guns? If he lived through the next few weeks, he'd have a chance, and for that he would risk it all.

The only reason I'm giving this one a four star rating is because the hero gets a little too shot up and recovers a little too easily...but hey, it is fiction right? A rip roarin' good time set to the tune of a wild west adventure! Wildcat Mountain has it all, with Faith and Red being a wonderful combination of fighting spirits and hope. My SE Violet collection has definitely grown by a gigantic leap with the addition of this book! Can't wait for the next one!
