80 and Sunny was started to pay homage to the magical light of Los Angeles through the art of contemporary weather description.
This book is a collection of 365 daily blog entries that creatively describe the subtle differences in Southern California sunshine (some have called it the Philip Glass of Weather Writing - tiny differences in repetitive constructs). Besides ultra high-brow literary references, deep meteorological information, and scientific atmospheric insights, the book makes metaphorical use of 7-11 big bite hot dogs, sleeveless tops, baseball, and dirt. Also includes great black and white photos of the real Los Angeles taken by area photo enthusiasts.
Great for anyone that loves to compare, loves sunshine, loves Los Angeles, and loves unique publications.

"80 AND SUNNY IS PERFECT WEATHER!" "by Sara Kaye Larson" was all I needed to know. It's like asking someone if they like pizza and ice cream. Buy It! It's amazing!
"160 degress of wisdom wit and whim" Weather has never been so fun. Perfect setting with a Midwestern fascination. One is easily lifted by the abundance of sunshine, the mystery of the misty streets, and the assurance of a change in perspective. How could Life be dull when you have LA! Super Job SaraKaye
"Who knew weather could be so entertaining?!" This book would make the perfect gift. Funny, insightful, adventurous. For lovers of Los Angeles, weather or just plain fun. I enjoyed it from start to finish.
