"Educational and Entertaining" I’d highly recommend this book. I love the arts, but I’m definitely not a dancer. That’s why I found this book so intriguing. I felt like I was behind the scenes experiencing the discovery, the formation, the challenges, and the transformation of the dance with the choreographer – a perspective I’d never be exposed to otherwise. It’s a quick, easy read and pretty humorous in parts. This is a memoir of an actual dance, but I didn’t see the show and still loved the read. The pictures at the end do a really good job of illustrating the author’s points and walking you through the storyline.

"A Brilliant Choreographer's Journey" I have known Sara all her life. She’s danced since she was little at her family’s gatherings, was influenced by her mother’s career in modern dance, her father’s tai chi/martial arts practice, her step-mother’s belly dancing and has had her own professional turn on the hip hop stage. It gives me great pride and pleasure to see the culmination of her dreams and aspirations, her choreographic pieces, through her Memoirs of a Dance series. It’s thrilling to be at the start of a brilliant choreographic career and to journey with her as her artistic and business/entrepreneurial expertise broadens and deepens one dance at a time. Whether you are a dancer, choreographer, teacher, arts administrator or dance aficionado, I highly recommend Sara Morgan Templeton’s Memoirs of a Dance series.
