This was absolutely beautifully written. It will keep engaged and interested through the whole book, flooding you with emotion as you follow her story. I found it impossible to not draw parallels between her story and my own life, while very different stories we have both lived, there are definitely many moments and feelings with which I related. I would seriously recommend this to anyone who has been going through or has gone through a long term struggle (addiction or otherwise). This book chronicles the metamorphosis and journey of a lowly caterpillar who had given up, and the beautiful butterfly she was always meant to be.

I haven't been able to put this down since it arrived. Her poetry is honest and raw. As a mother, I feel for her. As a poet, I as aspire to be her equal, one day.

Very captivating reading. I bought the paperback version about a month ago and have been reading it off and on since then. I started with reading a couple poems and pages randomly in the middle of the book, but found it to be even more rewarding reading from start to finish. I can relate to some of what the author felt and wrote, and even what I couldn't relate to was written in a way that kept me engaged, and seeing the dates of each poetic passage as well as knowing these are based on real memoirs from 2009-2013 made this even better reading. Exceptional poetic expression of a life that was, and a glimpse into what was and is to be. Looking forward to more from Sarah Ann Waldron.

She couldn’t have been more poetic in her bleeding; She couldn’t have been more REAL, trying to find her Reality; She couldn’t have been more septic, when trying to self-medicate her sorrow; She couldn’t have whispered loud enough to scream her life’s story; She couldn’t have built a Fortress of Healing before she lived a Masterpiece of Pain. Sarah Ann Waldron shares her fears, losses, her findings, revelations, her joys, fears, sorrows and ecstasy. She shares her living and her brink of death. She takes away the ether but gives you breath. Let the journey begin that you find YOURself. Let the bleeding stop so that you find Healing within these words . . .
