Glass Wings

BySarah Callinan

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Forrest Lesher was raised solely by his military-minded father. His father's drinking habits and outdated notions of what it meant to be a man left Forrest in an uncomfortable position when he realized he was gay. Luckily, he had his older brother to help him through his struggles and to keep his secret safe, but when Ryan joined the military and left him all alone, Forrest began to live his life on auto pilot. He became nothing more than the nerd in the background of everyone’s life. No one took notice of him and in return he was able to ignore them. He didn’t feel sorry for himself. In fact, he enjoyed the solitude and privacy. He was comfortably invisible when sarcastic Carver Ante came to his school, covered in piercings, and completely dominating his attention. From his unearthly blue eyes to his witty remarks, Forrest found himself falling in love with his new friend. However, even in the present day not everyone was accepting of his choices, and the consequences could be fatal.
