Celebrating The 4th Of July

Our drinks may have been catching up to us for our voices were getting louder and we were laughing more than we were talking. Eventually she asked me how and why I chose Rich. I gave her my honest answer – because he was well connected and certainly – rich. As we were having this discussion our husbands were more than just drunk already. We saw them together making a beeline for the rooms – they went into the wrong rooms. That incident only served to heighten our enjoyment and we laughed so hard that it was a long time before we talked again. When we started talking again, it was my Q and A portion. I have always been curious as to why Tanya held out and actually married Jeff. When it came to manners, he had rough ones. When it came to taste, he wasn’t discriminating. When it came to money, he didn’t have much. And lastly, when it came to looks, he was so far down the food chain that he’d probably need divine intervention to score with the ones from the upper class.
