Brilliant, these are delightful, and truthful, poems about what the first year of a baby's life can be like for his or her mother. I don't really like poetry but I have to keep going back and reading these. They so remind me of my three babies, now parents themselves.

I have seen the book, and it is amazing. I was priveledged enough to have been at most of those Birth Art Cafe Medway sessions, which was blessing enough, but much of the poetry was new to me. As a whole, the poetry accompanying the art, it is very moving, gritty and will relate to any mum those who have just become one, and those who will never forget their initiaition yesr. Mumology is full of all the joy, glorious highs and dark lows that are an honest and articulate account of the right of passage that birth and the first year of a woman becoming a mother. Scoops poetry articulates all the emotions of this time in a womans life, perfectly capturing the moments fresh as they just happened, so much so you get the sense they were written immediately, in fact they were. And it is this raw honesty that makes this little book so incredible. Thank you for capturing what we have all felt at some point. There is not a woman alive who will not feel what this potery and pictures expresses so... More > well.< Less
