"Scenes from behind the sofa" Having read Sean’s work on eatmybrains.com I looked forward to reading this book and it didn’t disappoint. Not any do you get the top 50 horror films but also you get a few words on their follow ups .You also get the back ground to why and how he came to watch these films, a fun read. Now Sean is that a van pulling up out side!!!!!!!!
"scenes from behind the sofa" I used to love this guy's film reviews in our local paper and a friend found out he was reviewing films online via "eat my brains" although some of his films are not to my taste the reviews themselves make fantastic reading, so full of humour and a style that carrys you along. When I found out about his book I just had to have it and I was not let down. Its a good size, real value for money and packed full of reviews. Some films i see in a different light now and others I now feel compelled to watch. There is also a lot of personal stuff included that stops this book becoming a boring reference book .
"Scenes From Behind The Sofa." Being a HUGE horror fan, which started from a very early age after viewing 'Psycho' (Which i think has to be one of my all time favourite films!) I came across this book and i have to say that this is an absolute MUST for any horror fan ! It's brilliantly written with clear insight and a sneaky peek at the authour's wicked sense of humour. Some of the movies listed within this book i'd never heard of, so i'm now tracking them down as he definitely makes them sound worth viewing ! I hope this guy continues to review more films (in whatever genre) as i'm now a fan of his style of writing.
"Scenes From Behind The Sofa" Having never been a huge fan of the Horror genre I was a little sceptical about starting to read a book that i knew would contain nothing but Horror films. However, Scenes From Behind The Sofa is not just your standard compilation of film reviews, it is much more. With witty stories accompanying many of the reviews I found myself constantly wanting to head out in search of the latest film I had just read about. Even the most staunch of non-horror film viewers will be converted after reading this book.
"Scenes Behind The Sofa" I knew this book would be a great read because as soon as l read the first two pages it had drawn me in. I found the detailing of each film to be very good, l felt l was seeing the film for real. The added detail about the author his self were very funny and enjoyable to read. I would have thought he would have ended up not wanting to see anymore horror movies but instead it made him wanting more, just like myself with his book. I hope the author writes more books.
