Directly and indirectly, “Burden Of The Torchbearer” is a commentary on, and challenge to, conventional assumptions about storytelling. Comprised of 13 original short stories, this unique anthology features principal characters from my science fictional Arcanum series universe, which revolves around a Dreamwalker named Cassie O’Brien. The Arcanum is a secret society of watchers documenting, studying and preserving the truth about human history & knowledge.
And each story is derived from and inspired by the lyrics of Kate Godfrey songs (one story per song).
Infused with a sense of optimistic idealism, the symbolic theme of this eccentric anthology is for us to stoke the flame within and release our inner light.
