My review of the trilogy (Divide - Schism - Separation) covers all three novellas (novellae). It is recommended (by me) to read each of the three short books on three days sequentially. The suspense and puzzlement grows with each installment. The horror is sudden, usually unexpected, and is Hitchcockian in style. The stories are set in the present age (not futuristic like AFTERMATH, a science fiction book by Sean Cooper). The insertion of Spanish phrases in the trilogy is appropriate, and for those not fluent in Espanol, translations are provided. The stories draw heavily on heavy metal music quotes at the beginning of chapters. The interpersonal dynamic betweeen Jayden and wife Mia requires some knowledge of psychiatry to fully understand the weird outcomes. The 2nd and 3rd books introduce another married couple -- Alexandre and Lilly-Grace --who occupy the same bedeviled house 11 years after the apparent death of Jayden. Further explanation would reveal the surprise endings of those... More > two increasingly complex revelations! Warning: Language is explicit in appropriate spots. References to religion are also frank but informed. Sean's books are recommended for mature teens and adults. Dr. Ed< Less
