This new catalogue features a complete facsimile reprint of the definitive 1888 German catalogue published by Albert Schäfer, complemented by an comprehensive summary in English of each work’s entry there, organised (unlike the original book) by genre of composition. As well as extra and more accurate information on many works, it includes details of 15 compositions not listed in Schäfer’s catalogue, uses the WoO numbers now allocated to the 71 works left by Raff without Opus numbers, surveys all his known unrealised projects and features a short biography of the composer.< Less
