I am so used to addressing you in person, welcoming you to the Nook, offering drink, nibbles, and each week’s tale to terrify, that I’m not sure how to behave... More > like a co-editor. So…
Welcome, Children of the Night. Welcome to the book, welcome to Tales to Terrify, Volume 1.
My job is to offer thanks. I will not fuss over questions of what is horror and why we choose to be terrified for entertainment and instruction. Everyone has a definition and reasons. They arise from personal matters locked down in our deep, dark insides. It is enough that we gather to listen and, now, to read together. Each tale we take in will define what is horror for us and will throw light and shadow on why we so love to be scared.
But about those thanks: Thank you for buying. Your purchase will help us continue our mission—voicing the best contemporary, modern and classic horror, dark fantasy, creepy tales, and shivery slivers available in HTTP-Land.
