Although much of my poetry roots itself in New Mexico—its culture and people, my own origin—just as much dwells in European art (particularly music) and in mythical themes. My effort to reconcile cultural roots with art and myth often manifests itself as a quest for home amid feelings of disconnect. There is a tremor to much of my poetry, but I’m equally drawn to solace. I believe strongly in human odyssey—the potential in all of us to find peace, love, and personal validation.
