AUTHOR MALCOLM BRUCE worked for a number of years at The Naval Ordnance Inspection Establishment in Sheffield. He left when the establishment closed and transferred south. He joined Sheffield Transport Department taking early retirement in 1993. In 1989 he was appointed a JP and in 2002 he and his wife moved to Scarborough. He is currently chairman of Scarborough Historical Aircraft Club and also of The Scarborough Talking News, a charity which provides local news on recordings for the blind and partially sighted.< Less
