Steve’s death took place at Blackhawk Life Care Center in Lake View, Sac County, Iowa on August 6, 2015, just 13 days after he had been forced into Hospice at Loring Hospital without a terminal illness and without his knowledge or consent. No one including a spouse or other relative can put a person into hospice if that person refuses hospice. Steve indicated to Hospice on July 8, 2015 at Blackhawk Life Care Center that he was not ready to die and refused their services.
