The Four Seasons is a set of four violin concertos by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi. Each concerto consists of three movements and - unusually for the time period - is each intended to represent a... More > particular subject; the titular four seasons. This arrangement presents the most famous theme from each of the concertos as a duet for ukulele and baritone ukulele. The music is intended to be accessible to beginners, yet interesting enough for more advanced players, and would make an ideal performance piece. Each movement is presented over one or more double pages, with the ukulele part on the right and the baritone ukulele part on the left - thus allowing the musicians to play from the same music stand, and for the student to easily cross-reference the two parts.< Less

Pachelbel's Canon arranged for ukulele ensemble By Thomas Preece
Paperback: $9.48
Prints in 3-5 business days
Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D is perhaps one of the world's most famous pieces of classical music. Originally composed in the 1600s, the piece lay in obscurity for many centuries, until it was... More > rediscovered in 1968 and suddenly became unexpectedly popular. It has firmly established its place as a standard of popular classical music. While most previous ukulele arrangements of the Canon have attempted to arrange all of the piece's parts onto one instrument, this arrangement takes the opposite approach, using three ukuleles for the three violins of the original, making the piece very easy to play, and keeping in with the concept of a canon as a piece in which multiple instruments play the same relatively simple part at different times, creating a more complex and interesting sound texture.< Less

They are studied and performed by cellists across the world, and have also been arranged for many other... More > instruments, including the ukulele. While this collection is not the first ukulele arrangement of the suites, previous works have consisted only of one or two movements: this is the most complete arrangement to date, consisting of seventeen pieces from the renowned Cello Suites. This collection is arranged for standard solo ukulele in re-entrant tuning (gCEA), and makes extensive use of campanella techniques, in which successive notes are played on separate strings, to achieve a bell-like quality and a fuller sound. The ukulele is particularly suited to this style of playing, which gives a fresh style to these famous pieces.< Less
Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (Allegro) arranged for ukulele ensemble By Thomas Preece

Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is one of the most recognisable works of classical music. It was composed in 1787 for string quartet with optional double bass, although these days is most commonly... More > performed by string orchestras. This arrangement brings the piece into the world of the ukulele to be performed, like the original, by a small ensemble. The title of the piece is commonly, but incorrectly, translated as A Little Night Music - the correct translation would be A Little Serenade. However, it is generally believed that Mozart didn't intend to give the piece a specific title, merely noting in his records that he had composed "a little serenade". The work is in fact a suite of four movements, although this arrangement is only of the first movement, that being the piece most commonly associated with the title.< Less

More > learning stages. The music in this book is playable on any 5 or 6 hole ocarina, although there is no reason why it can't be played on other styles of ocarina, such as the "sweet potato", which has a much larger range. Starting with traditional folk songs from around the world, the book moves through famous classical solos and duets, ending with a complete arrangement of Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. This edition is intended for ocarinas in the key of D (Langley or similar), with G ocarinas used for some of the harmony parts. For musicians with ocarinas in C, a separate edition is available with the same pieces arranged in that key.< Less
