She was the granddaughter of Cosenna Barnard or "Cussinne Barnett", a prominent leader among the Yuchi. Yuchi Chief Brown, Sr., maintained his home near Jenks where he kept "the trophies of his long eventful life" for he lived to the age of ninety-two years.
