My poetry is inspired by my solid Catholic faith, but is addrressed to anyone interested in the power of prayer, the sanctity of human life, the joys of family activities, the magic of Christmas, and... More > the need for a better understanding of equality, aiming at the similarities, and not in spite of the differences, as all humans with no exception are children of God, for whom Jesus shed His Most Precious Blood. Some poems touch upon consolation in times of grief. Some address the challenges of physical disability, and the need to look at the person, at the unlimited human being, and not at the limitations in one or more motor functions. Some poems call for permanence in the family bonds after children turn eighteen, and others, for continued harmonious parenting even after divorce. Some show that equality is at stake if people keep on talking about, and emphasizing, differences. Thank you for your interest, and hoep you'lll find a poem to touch your heart.< Less

Etiquette for All By Lillian Godone-Maresca
Paperback: $15.00
Prints in 3-5 business days
This book helps parents teach good manners & appropriate social behavior to their kids. It goes from everyday situations (how to eat elegantly from a bottle at a picnic or how to hold a fast-food... More > cheeseburger or taco) to formal and very formal events. Strong emphasis is placed upon kindness, respect for others by not hurting their feelings, questions that should never be asked, & minimizing tattling and complaints against one another. It includes fun ways to teach, & advocates for warm welcomes to newcomers, whether immigrants to a country or new students to a school. This book reflects a family tradition that, on one hand, taught the author all the etiquette rules, but on the other, and even much more emphatically, by word and example from parents and grandparents taught her about equality, social sensitivity, and social justice. That is what the book is about: etiquette shouldn't be just for a few, but for all.< Less
