The literature revealed that this policy cannot always be considered successful in its implementation. Countries such as Chile, United States, United Kingdom, Italy, and France embraced privatization as a public policy tool to combat the inefficiency and ineffectiveness that surround their SOEs. In contrast, other countries, such as Paraguay, showed the opposite result.
