May of Mason Hill, book two of a four-book series about the Ryan family, features Mary "May" Ryan, and includes stories she wrote about her life on Mason Hill, and the one-room schoolhouse... More > of her youth. Also included are some mementos and pictures she saved.
May was born in 1892, the third child of Michael and Mary Ryan, immigrants of Tipperary County, Ireland. Though she did not miss the outhouse or lugging water from the creek, she remained nostalgic about those early days, and often told stories of her childhood. We are grateful she thought to write some of them down.< Less
