The lectionary has been completely redone and includes a concise introduction to the Bible. The translation of the Psalter has been somewhat revised, is ordered by theme, and is provided with antiphons. The number of canticles in Morning Prayer has been greatly expanded to choices from eight for each day of the week. Familiar traditional canticles have been rendered in contemporary language while retaining the traditional wording and cadences as much as possible.
