Cognitics By Jean-Daniel Dessimoz
eBook (PDF): $0.00
Computers, robots, computer networks and mechatronic systems invade the field of cognition: computations, games, translations, computer vision, speech recognition, replication by robots of movements... More > taught by gestures. This is the field of automated cognition, "Cognitics". Now what is intelligence, learning, or abstraction? How to assess complexity? How much knowledge is required to play « heads or tails »? The classical theories had not answered these questions accurately, quantitatively, technically. The book does. It discusses again some classical bases and then offers for the first time in an integrated form, illustrated with many examples, and yet concisely, the main elements of the "MCS" theory for cognitive sciences, gradually developed, demonstrated and published by the author in the scientific literature, in the past decades.< Less

La Cognitique By Jean-Daniel Dessimoz
eBook (PDF): $0.00

More > results in research and development as well as new applications, the latest products, systems and components for using robotics in schools, universities and informal education. This 6th RiE Conference happened in a broad context, thematically and geographically. The final round of Eurobot robotics competition was organized this year at Yverdon-les-Bains, as well as the Swiss Robotics Cup and a Robotics competition between local, primary and secondary schools, along with the « Robots:15» festival and Yverdon-les-Bains “Year of Robot” events, activities relating to robots in the realms of art, science, technology, and education. This is also well in line with “Robot-Int”, the Robotics-International initiative to promote robotics for the benefit of mankind, which could make a new step of development during these events.< Less
