Formerly one of the Science Education Specialists at the University of the Philippines – National Institute for Science and Mathematics Education Development, he earlier advised the National Historical Institute that the list in Epistolario Rizalino No. 124 (Kalaw, 1961) is not a list of butterflies but of sea shells. However, the error continued to spread through the years, prompting him to publish his research on those specimens that Rizal sent and/or received from European entomologists.< Less
