The game is based on the GROMM: Fantasy Skirmish rules system, so if you know how to play GROMM or Toxic Holocaust 2, you can very easily play 1944: Combat Shock. The games used standard six-sided dice and 15mm miniatures mounted on bases (between 3 to 5 miniatures per base). The game is also split into both basic and advanced rules and comes with 5 scenarios and 6 battle conditions, changing the way the game is played.< Less

Mobilisé en janvier 1942, il a noté sur des carnets tous les événements survenus pendant qu’il était à l’armée jusqu’en 1945. Il publie le seul qu’il ait retrouvé, les autres ayant été victimes des ses nombreux déménagements et…des termites ! Il y fait revivre ses souvenirs de la fin de la résistance allemande à Toulon, l’accueil particulièrement émouvant fait aux Tirailleurs Sénégalais par la population le 29 août 1944, avec le premier défilé de la victoire, les bals, toute une ambiance festive qui permit à beaucoup de liens d’amitié de se nouer. Après un intermède en Dauphiné, les tirailleurs retrouvèrent pendant quelques semaines leurs amis avant de regagner Dakar le 15 janvier 1945.< Less

After the early defeat of the... More > Polish military, the citizens organized their own armed groups who fought the occupiers to protect the people in the rural areas. This Peasant's Battalian was one of the most successful in defense, due in part to its' unusually talented leadership. The battalion leader, Stanislaw Basaga, was very successful and much admired by his men and the citizens he saved and protected. The German leadership ordered the complete evacuation and destruction and 49 villages and surrounding areas in southeastern Poland. The displaced families who survived needed aid and resettlement. This was the battalion's goal.
