The traditions and practices of both Anabaptists and Monastics should work together to help the church remain true to Christ in the perilous times ahead. The manifesto has four parts. The first three offers an interpretation of MCS's three identity statements. Based on those interpretations, the fourth part argues that MCS, like other Anabaptists, have strong affinities with traditional monasticism and the emerging new monasticism.
