Her home was rich with love and that love would sustain her through the valleys that would lie right down the road or perhaps over the next mountain. This story is a fictional account based upon real stories told to me by my grandmother. The characters in the story, for the most part, are real people, my ancestors. I have attempted to keep the story as close to fact as possible. However, as with any story which is based upon short verbal accounts, the author must take the liberty to “fill in the gaps.”< Less
